Neat, but it needs a different tail code.  Something tells me a Kiwi bird wouldn't be launched from Dyess AFB.  Maybe OH for Ohakea?

That pic actually dovetails in nicely with two potential variants of the B-1 I've got in the planning stages (one, long range naval super heavy interceptor, and two, a submarine patrol and fast intercept plane).  I think the Kiwis might use the latter

Cool!  I have long thought of doing a T-22M based Ultra-interceptor + also the same for the FB-111H.

No, not interceptor. Escort!  To escort Tu-16/22 naval strike packages. Devise a very long-range AAM that's either radar-guided or - sneaky - homes in on AWG-9 signals, without ever having to switch on an air intercept radar of their own!  Sock it to them pesky capitalist running dog Tomcats attempting to fend off glorious Soviet carrier-killing strike package! The Tomcat drivers won't believe their eyes when the missiles flying AS-4 profiles won't dive for the carrier, but for them!
Taking out a Hawkeye wouldn't be too bad either. Messing up the CAP and blinding their long-range eye should make the day much easier for the actual anti-shipping Tupolevs.

Did some novelist have this idea yet? If not, consider it trademarked!
