You know, I even put on their opening theme music and looked again at this design, it fits very well.

 Stéphane, is this a (wonderful) drawing of yours? or a Whif found Google-ing?
In case this is your own, I'd love a twin-tube/boom version of the second...

Profiles for Yoko Tsuno's "Colibri" at
http://yoko.tsuno.free.fr/index.php?mod=images&ac=all-images&id_page=7&cat=creation&idcat=9

At least cockpit proportions look wrong to me, though. Here's what it is supposed to look like:

(picture from http://yokotsunoinfos.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html )

It is a small aircraft: span 520 cm length 820 cm

So at first glance I thought "Hmmmm, updated Nord Griffon."
And that lead to this - something to make Arkon happy....

I forgot to mention the Colibri side and top views by Monsieur Leloup himself, at http://modelstories.free.fr/analyses/avions/MS2001_4P/YOKO_Colibri/index.html

Here's a thumbnail of the side view:

If I understood the article correctly, a 1/72 F-16 forward fuselage can get you started making a 1/48 Colibri on plastic.

A handy private jet indeed. No offensive weapons but on one occasion the anti-missile missiles saved Ms. Tsuno, together with the jettisonable engine pod and the parachute for the top part of the aircraft.

Stargazer

Yoko Tsuno was a brilliant series, especially when you discovered in your teens. It might seem a little dated today, I don't know...

Anyway, just wished to mention here that Leloup also worked as an assistant to Hergé on his later albums, originating the famed Carreidas business jet.

I suppose Yoko Tsuno is a bit like James Bond, except she's a nice young lady who doesn't get into any hanky panky with anyone.

Intriguing! :o
Maybe not with a tank gun, but a gull-wing twin-boom He 111 - yeah, that'd be cool!
Cheers,

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

That recovery parachute is now an actual light aircraft accessory. The detachable engine pod is great too, think about being able to swap propulsion types for your intended mission, go for a speed pod or a heavy lifting power unit or an economy type.

Like the big guns, but suggest a bite-stick or boxer's mouthpiece for each of the crew  ;D

This is not a whif proper, just an unbuilt project!

While looking for Swedish splinter, I found this unique whif of a whif:

A VF-1 Valkyrie (a whif) in Viggen Splinter.   Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to finish off that bottle of merlot.
