Most excellent indeed.  I think it's got 'spec ops' written all over it.  Just need the appropriate lumps, bumps & weapons.

I assume the sharp objects on front of each fan are meant to be cable cutters?

Ooh -- might have to get that. I have a few Nemeth helicopters; they work very well indeed and are excellent simulations.

^ The Valkyrie is just awesome!  Lots of good stuff in that tread (such as the big turret Matilda II).

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

I like the Windsor, upgraded Matilda and Valentine, and M2-based light TD a lot......

But it seems to bring up a point against my fascination of turret from M8 HMC (an uparmoured version of which I thought could be used for Matilda and Valentine)- the gunner needs to be seated in the hull during road marches...... but there's no room for that in the infantry tanks......

Some interesting ideas there.  What a shame though that yet again people are trying to make a British Infantry Carrier into an AFV.  Something it wasn't intended to be.

I was just thinking the same thing!

People forget that most modern APCs are the size of WWII tanks: if you look at the few WWII "APCs" that were made, they were either based on tanks (Kangaroo) or trucks the length of a tank (Hanomag). The Bren carrier et al were more akin to tracked jeeps than anything else.

Looking at the pics, I'd suggest there's been some scaling done for the various components, which doesn't help the whole thing making the Bren Carrier into something larger than it was.

The drawings above are based on the Windsor Carrier which is actually closer to the Lloyd Carrier than the Universal.  Still, there may be some fudging going on.  That is the one advantage of What If, you don't have to be able to actually create it in the real world.

That's our cthulhu77 there.  He's always popping out new work and not sharing it, but then again, this could be an older build.  I don't know for sure.
