I stumbled on this website while looking for something else entirely, not so much whifs as laffs a minute! Imaginative and very funny!

Here's the link: http://www.aeroknow.com/USAFM.htm

Have a look and a laugh.
If I am targetted by JMNs, I'm in good Company.

No, no, no! You do not die for your country, you make the other one die!

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

It's in the style of "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow", isn't it? The flying Fortresses/Carriers are obviously some kind of "Axis"-aircrafts and the gull-winged fighters are these of the Allies.

Some awesome stuff here, notably forward-swept-wing and near-delta wing variants of the MiG-3!

And very plausible given some of the parabola winged designs of the era by Cheranovski, et al.

The night fighter version enthralls, given that the VVS and PVO of the period were extremely light on radar equipped night interceptors or intruders.

Well done photo work and draws.

This was an older post in the forum.
And this is the full story by "El Presidente", which I found browsing the web. The "wartime photo" is great!
