I found it pretty inventive. My favorite detail is the enlarged fin - I thought it came from a Grumman Panther, but it's just a sheet of styrene which changes the looks pretty much. Really inventive piece!

Bit of both I think Tophe. It has no belly scoop like a P-51, but the nose is too sleek for a P-40.

Just the air scoop over the nose and the air intakes in the wing roots are what-if (and the eyes and mouth...)
