It does seem rather short-sighted to not have an ecort that can exploit the said advantages of a tilt-rotor.

Isn't that why the Marines have F-35B's too  ----  ;D

What the Marines should do is borrow a bunch of A-10s from the Air Force for escorts. But that would make too much sense.
What I should do is build the V-22, attack helicopter cross I've had in my head for quite a while now.

That's why I'd love to see them bring back the Raider, albeit with a T-56 up front.

That little Hawk sure looks good ! Not too sure about it tho....and I think the pilot might want to check his dosimeter after his first flight

The Army A-10 is a good idea. I hear the USAF is keeping them...for now, anyway !

Pretty sure this is a whiff, but I can't tell you a thing about it, since I can't even tell what language the site is in:

From here (more pics too): http://kikumen.com/puramon/air/aeromacchi/101.html

One thing that's revealed that I didn't know: there was a 1/72nd scale Supermodel kit of the MB-339K! I didn't even know it existed! Since the aircraft never found a market in real life, the whiff potential is enormous...

Don't know. The black shield on the fin is the same as the one on the real life demonstrator aircraft.

BTW, the MB-339K was also called the Veltro II, "veltro" meaning "greyhound". With that in mind, they came up with a cracking civil registration for the demonstrator: I-BITE.  ;D

Dunno what language but I do recognise a number of Chinese symbols, so it may be one of the variations of that.

It's Japanese. Google tends to struggle with it.

Italeri re-released the MB339K kit fairly recently.
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

Sure about that?

A web search only finds images of the old Supermodel box. Italeri re-released the MB-339C and the MB-326K faily recently, but they're not the same thing.
