I think the one with spats was the original sketch, and he ended up liking it better without.

IIRC the Super Savage was a real project but didn't get as far as being built. It certainly looks great though.  :thumbsup:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Logically, it should be an 88mm (8.8cm), too, but it looks like it might be a 75mm (7.5cm) Kwk 40 L/43 with an imperfectly reproduced muzzle brake as found on the PzKpfw IV ausf. F2.

However, it could be the full barrel of a British 6-pounder added to the base of the Tiger's 88mm.

It was the fact that it was added to the base of the Tiger's 88mm that threw me. Wondered if it was a smooth bore or something ?
