They supposedly had it in the very first planes, but it didn't work out. The wheels were an attempt to cover the requirement, also used in the Corsair and apparently in Hellcats but SBD and its perforated slabs were the way to go and Vindicator never really measured up as a dive bomber. Or so it is reported. I really couldn't save the pictures and as said l really have to look real hard into things...

Edit: Actually here it is, in French versions, with pictures l could download. That's an airbrake, right?

They might have been a MN in service addition.  Because every USN picture and the blueprints (below) don't show them

Thanks for the effort and regarding French mofifications it might very well be so. Though it was quite a boost to some random idea of an airship based multi role fighter, now with retractable radar gear...

Not sure if this site has been mentioned here but it sure looks like Dizzyfugu work to me...
https://tvd.im/aviation/1371-martin-baker-mb-5.html
Sure does. And it doesn't look much like the real MB.5

And there's more... :banghead:  https://tvd.im/aviation/1928-tachikawa-ki-94.html
                                               https://tvd.im/aviation/1918-supermarine-spiteful.html
                                               https://tvd.im/aviation/2003-vought-f6u-pirate.html
                                               https://tvd.im/aviation/1742-saab-jas-39-gripen-griffin.html
                                               https://tvd.im/aviation/1737-saab-j21.html

And the list is probably bigger, there are 69 pages full of aircraft "bios" but it seems to me that this "gent" doesn't give credit to anyone and uses a lot of other people's photos without consent.

Oh, horrible. And there's most probably nothing you can do about this.  Just looks like an online platform to host ads and fill the blanks in between with stolen content. SH!T. Exactly what I hate about the WWW and opportunistic !d!ots without decency.  :banghead:

Just for fun I'll contact the page, just to see what happens.

On the other side, I had yesterday an RC modeler calling in at FlickR who wants to build an 1:6 P-47 and use one of my model's liveries (the recent olve drab Burma 'Bolt with the large skull markings on the cowling), and that's nothing I have a problem with, since these are historical markings and "private use" - I have done similar things with others' work, too, just trying to give peoper credit, if possible.

Dizzyfugu

"You have stolen and used my intellectual property from my FlickR galleries on the tvd.im website without my consent or even asking to do so.

For instance:
https://tvd.im/aviation/1928-tachikawa-ki-94.html
https://tvd.im/aviation/1918-supermarine-spiteful.html
https://tvd.im/aviation/2003-vought-f6u-pirate.html
https://tvd.im/aviation/1742-saab-jas-39-gripen-griffin.html
https://tvd.im/aviation/1737-saab-j21.html

...and there are certainly more, and other sources are certainly affected, too. Even worse, you are using the content in a commercial context, what I expessively prohibit. Therefore I demand that you delete and stolen material (pictures and text) from your website.

My material is public, but it is not free of rights!

This private photo collection at FlickR is open to the public and intended for the personal enjoyment and inspiration of visitors and online users. But there are rules. And good manners!!! If you want to grab a photo for your private collection (offline), feel free to do so. However, if you want to publish it on your personal web page, another forum or blog etc., please ask beforehand for permission (PM via FlickR) and add proper credit / link to the source page here.
This is even more so seriously requested if you want to modify and/or publish it in other media and/or use it in any public/commercial way (magazine, book, videos, banners, ads on online platforms etc.).
There have been a considerable number of unauthorized publications and cases of intellectual theft over time, sometimes in doubtful context which I did and do not support, and without my permission or consent. Any direct or indirect artwork hijacking or unauthorized re-publication in any media will result in legal prosecution. I'd rather like to avoid such inconvenience for anyone involved beforehand, so please ask (beforehand). Or just leave it.

I am certain that facebook or twitter do not want to host stolen content, so I'll give you three days (until 2nd of Feb. 2022 0:00) to cleanse this website and the linked platforms from my material, otherwise I will pass a note to the respective admins.

I hope you learn from this.

Dizzyfugu"

Does that sound "official" enough? I fear that the admin behind tvd.im won't react to a request to delete my material from that website, but since the content is directly linked to facebook and twitter, I rather see a good leverage in these global platforms. We'll see.

What exactly is his game? Text should be okay but am pretty sure there was a previous F6U before the miserable jet... Even if   l myself was expecting to see one jet whiff in Argentinian livery instead of the turboprop job.

Mr. Fouatih should be ashamed of himself. :(
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

It may be conceptually similar, and share the designation, but it's very different in appearance from yours.
His is really clumsy looking, the multi-paned greenhouse canopies are hilarious.

1/200 scale? What's a person supposed to do with that? And it looks like a toy. I hope the thief looses money on it.
