Magenta/Riff Raff Class of Space Battleship

I've decided that the Frank N' Furter is a single ship class, and a twin-ship class will be provided by the Magenta/Riff Raff option, donor kit to be decided, but possible the Hood or the Warspite.
Whatever, it'll suffer a radical rebuild.

Here's a research photo of the current Magenta, on tour. She's sadly hurt her back at the moment as she manoevres quite energetically at times, but I'm sure full flexibility will return soon as she tells me she's receiving lots of "input" in the area of concern.

Hull glued together....the butchery begins tomorrow with a little sawing at the rear end and the fitting of one power source.

Got the hull together, but decided against butchery as I'll use add-on exhausts

Some progress, but just raided the big spares box for some additional bits

Of course, this will also have fishnet where appropriate.

Progress is good, so should be able to spray the black undercoat tomorrow. Despite the "Fish Net Look", there'll be lots of Metal effect.
It's amazing how much can be achieved when there's no women around!!

Yay babies, off to the pub, and when I return (about 2am!!) there'll be the fishnet to attach and then tomorrow I'll spray black!! It'ss all finished bar the fishnet and post-painting aerials.

I've finally got round to spraying it, but it'll be at Cossie where I can continue to work on it.

Done some work on the Magenta Class battleship, "The Shona White", all at Cosford. Drybrushing in metallic tones, then some washes and overpainting in Matt Black to dull things down.

More tomorrow probably.

Getting back to it today...hopefully finish it and get round to some photos....I'll also sort out some of Shona White.

Lots of work on the Magenta Class "Shona White"....drybrushing the netting/stocking in bright pink, and then lots of washes applied around detail in black, and different shades of rust and brown. "Some" detail also painted but it's mostly been a fine brush day today, so i'll finish it tomorrow, including the addition of aerials and the number hand painted as on the T'Curry...but this time Magenta's number...0483

Finished....here is Miss Shona White in costume. She made a fabulous Magenta back in 2006, and the "Shona White" Space Battleship is in honour of her.....

Photos taken for distribution next week. I'll also do an article re. the Magenta Class Space battleships, the variations within the class..."Shona White", "Claire Parrish" and "Kara Lane"....and how to model them, and with colour scheme differences too.
