Alright, thought I'd open up shop here for my works of figurative insanity.  Got a bit of a side-track mind going on when a buddy of mine started talking about Warhammer 40K, and the new 5th edition stuff, and it got my mind spooling up on 40K again - that and the new job providing substantial income for a couple of months to support such madness.  One of the new things the Guard got as an option were Penal Legion Troop squads, and they're rather randomly interesting, so I thought I'd make a squad or two.  The first of my finished works would be this gentleman - a blending of Catachan Jungle Fighter and Chaos Marauder to bulk him out a little and give him that hard-bitten edge.  I figured he'd also have a couple of trophies or what not, so it gave me some artistic license with fitting them out.

Of course, in the rest of the 40K universe, here's the rest of the snapshot of my collection for reference:

As always, gentlemen - Questions, Comments, Queries and Rude Remarks are welcome, invited, and appreciated.

more updates on the Imperial Guard work - I toyed with camo for my regular troops, and decided to take some group shots of the stuff in current progress.  First up, the Regulars in their new fatigues:

And here's the Penal Legion Troops, with their Arbites Overseers, where they stand right now:

Alright, a little more to add today - I recently got my hands on some Tyranid Termagants - I always had a tinkering thought for doing Tyranids in the back of my head, so I bought one of their discount miniature packs of five termagants, just to test the ideas I had floating.  See for yourselves, if anybody cares:

As always - questions, comments, rude remarks, etc, you know the drill.

A little more before I hit the hay tonight, I started repainting some Marines that I'd turned over to Chaos, bringing them back into the fold.  I figured I could use them to bolster my nascent Space Marine army that I'm building now.  Basically, it's a first shot of the colour scheme, not quite complete, but here it is so far.

If anybody cares, thought I'd share.  Comments or whatever, you know the drill.  Now I'm gonna get some sleep.

Pretty cool stuff! I do 40K myself. 2nd Gen (all pewter) Cadians/Mordians in a Confederate Gray scheme with a bunch of shiny bits; imagine a commissar decked out like a flashy gentleman Confederate general, but with a power fist and plasma pistol.

DaFROG

smurf tyranids.... excellent

and a chaos terminator with lighting claws playing cats cradle  ;D ;D

I used to play (or a least paint) eldar and marines

Heres a link to some of mine

Thanks for the comments, guys - it's nice to hear some feedback.  DasBoot, sounds like a pretty good idea for an army, the colours would lend well to some of the newer miniatures even more so I'm sure.  Frog, that's some real nice work you've got there - I took a look and I have to admit, some of it's real nicely done.

And here is me thinking your hobby was running people/animals over now
You certainly have been busy mate, and you have way more patience than I have when it comes to figures, I won't even do pilots if they come in any of my aircraft kits.
Cheers,
Chris.

A few new updates to my 40K works...

First up - my latest Dreadnought, nicknamed "Big Red" - Started as a Blood Angels Furioso/Librarian Dread kit.  Death Company body, with a Defiler head PSR'd over the original head.  Khorne colours, markings.  Force Glaive given new chainsaw edge.

Next - Eldar Fire Dragons squad - group shot, not finished with the colours.

Next - Eldar Vyper Jetbike.  Modified from original twin shuriken catapults down below to house Shuriken Cannon option.

Final - Sons of Angarak update - new Purgation heavy weapons squad.  Two of four Psycannons equipped, other two on order.  Includes Squad Sergeant.

As always - Questions, Comments, Queries, Rude Remarks are invited and sought.  Say Something!
