If you're talking about Pyro there bashing one of the Grumman Cats then I'll join the mob!!!  :wacko:

As far as the F-104 though....that thing is just fugly!!!!  How can those stubby little wings get it off the ground?  Maybe it you gave it some full size wings and we might have something we can work with.  Hmmmm.....the light bulbs are going off!

Just for the sake of confusing things further didnt we have a Tomcat and Phantom GB suggested somewhere?

We should have an annual "type" GB set in stone and every year just have folks vote on what aircraft they want to do this year.

Strangely enough, I loathe the real aircraft but I still have 4 1/2 kits of it! You can always fix it as a project (somebody on here did a cracking delta-wing one) and it's useful for bits and Sci-Fi stuff.

Has a fire bomber GB ever been done? - convert something to a water bomber: Nimrod, A-380, B-29, A-10, A-1...... the list goes on and on. 

Glad to see my F-104 suggestion raised some passions (both good and bad!)  That surely must carry some weight.

It was proposed & got some serious backing, but never got off the ground.

F-104 fire bomber?  Might be able to carry enough water to put out a bin/trashcan fire!
