Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Another possible - something French:  a Mirage 2000 or similar perhaps?

Well, can't say I was, but hey, Mirage F1 is good, I've been fondling a 1/72 version thinking of building it a little differently...

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Finished the second coat of (Bassalt) grey this evening, it's drying now in the paint shed. If it's a warm day tomorrow it will bake very nicely !! Maybe get some photos up tomorrow night.

Got the second ultra light coat of Xtracolour Bassaltgrau on last night and it's spent the day in a very warm and sunny paint-shed baking.

Here t'is

As you can see the paint went down very smoothly - probably because for this project I mixed the enamel with cellulose thinners. Next will be some masking and sprying the NATO green.

Thanks for taking the time to look and comment.

Now I know some of you will have noticed that the fin looks a little more 'lumpy' than a standard F-1C, and that's because it is:

et voila,

Some lengths of Evergreen plastic strip, some shaped pieces of plastic card and a couple of seeker heads from some wildly inaccurate Sidewinders that I found cowering in the corner of the 'weapons box'

Easy as that.

Did somebody mention rubbing down ?

Thankfully, I've got a welders mask to hand.
