Firstly, thanks to Phil and all those who helped him for the effort needed to make this happen.

Congratulations to all the winners, and the "merely" nominated should feel proud too, given the breadth and scope of talent on here.

Well done to all!

First up, a huge thank-you to Phil and his team of minions for the hours and hours of work they have put into this

2nd of all, a hearty congratulations to all the winners - and what is especially gratifying to me is the different number of winners.  It may be near-middle-age playing tricks on me, but I seem to recall last year was the Barry + Greg show (and quite right, they are outstanding modellers).  This year its spread around MUCH more, due IMO to 2 factors.  An influx of fresh, talented talent as whiffery grows, and then the fact that resident whiffers are raising their game

Thirdly - HOG strikes from the grave!

And lasty, when I saw I had made it to the last 5 in the armour category I was honoured, having never done so before.  But then to scroll down and find I won the Helicopters catergory! :o  I was stunned.  There's so many I want to thank - my dear old dad for introducing me to this wonderful hobby 30+ years ago, my old flatmate Dave Creelman in Sydney for getting me back into it 12 years ago.....why is that man waving his finger around....?....the original whiffers for the early encouragement they gave me, Wooksta, Thorvic, Nigel Bunker....hey why are the lights dimming?....Captain Canada, Lancer.......is this microphone still on?  Hello?....testing?........

Firstly, thanks to Phil for running this - great idea, it certainly adds a little extra to things for those who don't get out to the shows much, owing mostly to transport issues.

Second, congrats to the winners, and even to those who were nominated - it was a hard vote in many of the categories, so if you didn't walk out with something, know it was likely a close vote.

Third, I'd like to thank those who voted for the Germania - there was a lot of time and research put into the build, to make sure there was all the right equipment to go with things.  The whiffie really makes me glad that I pushed through on her, even at the cost of burning myself out for a fair chunk of time with regards to anything in the Soviet Ship category.

Finally, I love this community - the feedback, the input, the ideas.  It really makes it feel good when I can get discussion or input or feedback on my ideas to help mature them even further.  Similarly, the encouragement helps when you guys speak up on my builds, it's always nice to know somebody's watching and likes what they see.  So, in truth, thanks guys.

I appreciate you hosting this and "developing" it.

I wish to thank the feisty people of Malta and the "foreign" airmen who helped defend her during those dark days of the early 1940's for giving me the inspiration for my "Globrey Blordiator".

And Christopher Shores, whose research dug up the "gem" quote indicating that an amalgam Gladiator, called the "Bleariator", was actually built. My own twisted mind morphed that into the "Blordiator", and after visiting Malta herself, I *HAD* to do the island-as-seen-from-the-air camouflage.

And Brian da Basher, whose encouragement boosted my modeling muse to greater heights (heck, I needed supplemental oxygen!).

There were lots of fabulous models in this "contest". I feel privileged to have contended in two categories and even won one. Thanks to all who voted for my Blordiator.
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!
