The "Kara Lane"~a Magenta class Battleship in space.

This morning I laid down the keel (a nautical term) of the "Kara Lane", a Magenta Class space battleship, which, of course, will feature many modifications and an incredibly sexy paint job involving lots of flesh colour.

Added armament and more bodywork today....adding extra bits tomorrow so that hopefully I can prime her on Wednesday.

Lots of detail added to the hull and superstructure, and I need to work on the Luscomb engines that are in pods on the side. They need considerably work with piping and a long screw each. Some more needs adding to achieve the full effect I want and I've fiddled about in various boxes looking for a satisfactory result. I was luckily able to research on Friday and Saturday.....

The side-pod engines are attached and I've started to detail them.
I've also decided to add a fair bit of strip, sprue and piping as I work on the upper bodywork.....

I must adsmit they're both delightful. The lady in white actually runs her own "dog walking" business which seems successful. The other one is merely scrumptious. It was tough having fun in Northampton, but someone's got to try.
During Saturday we had a fairly interesting chat with "Gandalf"....complete in wizard clothing, and looking very "Dark Age", who is standing as a Candidate in the Election. Of course, the main parties were hiking their stuff, but "Gandalf" was far more interesting.....

You kill me, Rad. You upload all sorts of pics of Rocky ladies you meet in the most, um, interesting outfits and locations but hardly ever of the MODEL you're working on and whose descriptions you share in order to tease us with.
