My old-new project inspired by a bit of a reality. Reconstruction of the A10 in the fast fire airplane. HASIČI = FireBrigade. Under the wing gets a large tanks for water /from 1/48 kits/

Are you replacing the Gatling gun with some sort of hose for a really accurate water delivery?

Yes, instead of the gun is suction device , instead of the gun magazine is turbopump  and discharge devices under the tail

You'd better put something in place of the gun though, 'cos that baby is about 4000lb of weight, all ahead of the CofG.....

Maybe the suction device could have an intake nozzle that drops down like a very big, upside-down refuelling probe, so the pilot can skim water from a lake by doing a really low pass.....

I did one several years ago and built a droptank under the fuselage. I kept the cannon and in my world, it was loaded with incendiary shells to start back burns and/or "regular" shells to clear firebreaks without having to drop Smoke Jumpers into dangerous terrain. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v669/scurrfy/Early%20Kitbashes/May08206.jpg

I don't know, looks OK to me.   The photos are a bit pixelated, but the bird looks good.
