royabulgaf--Nice one. >BTW, did Brewster have any post-Buffalo fighter designs?<

No, the Brewster company failed during WW II and they never produced another Brewster product.

Sotoolslinger--check the links out--it really looks like a single-seat Helldiver! But with a top speed of 279 mph in 1943, it was rather outclassed (considering that the prototype Corsair flew 400 mph in 1940, and that even the Helldiver could out-run it!).

My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

Dang that is pretty cool  Thanks for the links.
Here is initial paint

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

sotoolslinger

Greg the markings will, of course , be RAAF ;D
Thanks to all y'all.
Cherny the quality of the kit has A LOT to do with quickness of build. :wub:This is my first Tamiya very nice fitting kit.

Of course, now I have no idea what to with my Buffalo.  ;)

I just saw this thread! Great looking plane! Did the decals include RDF or did you print those up?

sotoolslinger

Thanks y'all
Cliffy on the bottom I used German Hellblau the top is weird. It is a Krylon Camoflage ultra flat 4291 khaki. By Gosh when they say ultra flat the effin mean it. 4 coats of gloss cote won't make it shiny
Proditer it took me two years for you to come up with this idea ;D
Frank I looked through the stash and found these really neat TH X decals I would have even been able to get the serial number to be 1138.....and they just frikken disintegrated. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
The RD F I pieced together from other sheets . I figured if I couldn't make a George Lucas reference I could at least get my initials in there

Ian the Kiwi Herder

Just great, looks like it 'should have been' as opposed to 'what if ?'
