Some Die Cast Cars

Here's a couple of 1/64 Matchbox cars for you guys.

I finished the cars themselves a few years ago, but I finally got around to mounting them on bases recently. 

As you can tell, I am a Rusty Wallace fan.

Mixed among my 1/24 decal sheets was a 1/32 sheet, so I decided to use it on a cheap die cast I found at Walmart.  I like Mustangs, and Rusty Wallace used to drive Fords, so I thought it fit. 

I disassembled the kit, painted and detailed the interior, and repainted the body.  Also added a GPS screen to the dash mounted GPS, and added a custom license plate.

For the un-initiated, who's Rusty Wallace please? I'm guessing he's a NASCAR driver, right?

I like his, and your, taste in cars no matter.

Thank you.  And yep, Rusty Wallace is a NASCAR driver who retired in 2005.

The idea of a NASCAR Mini Countryman and London Taxi is hysterical! 

I'm thinking of Mr. Wallace zapping the cab down the M4 toward Heathrow, with the cab painted in that scheme. Magnificent!

Yep!  I'm a Rusty Wallace fan.  I haven't built a car model in years, but I recently opened up a kit to end that streak.  After I brush up on my car modeling skills on that kit, I'll build a couple of NASCARs stock cars, including a Rusty MGD car.
