Hello Colin

I'd like to endorse both Weaver's and Kitbasher's comments.

Cheers

I'd like to suggest the following:

British stuff (big list, sorry!)
Early helicopters - Belvedere, Sycamore, Scout/Wasp etc; the kits there are are old and rare.
Replica
Hawker P.1214/1216
DH Venom/Sea Venom - I know CMK are doing Venoms, but I'm sure you can do a decent one at a more reasonable price! If not a full kit, then a conversion set for the old Frog Sea Venom?
DH.116 Super Venom
Armstrong Whitworth AW.169
Supermarine Type 545
Vickers Type 583 (conventional and/or 583V VTOL version)
Gloster P.376 thin-wing Javelin
Vulcan Phase 6 conversion ( )

"Foreign Muck"
SAAB 36 nuclear bomber

More fancifully, what about some of those cool Avpro concepts? http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,12094.0.html
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

Gondor

I second the Vulcan Phase 6 conversion

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

Seconded.

NARSES2

OK I'll play :

All from the 40's

Gloster F18/37
Hawker p.1030
Supermarine Type 391
Armstrong Whitworth Aw.49
Boulton Paul P.99
Boulton Paul P.100
Fairey O21/44
Bristol H.7/42

On the downside most (if any) of these ever got beyond models,on the up side that does give the master maker some leeway.

Anyway whatever you choose, best of luck with it

Chris
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Yeah, all of these!  Especially the A36.

One I forgot to mention earlier was the McDonnel Douglas JSF, to compliment suggestions for the production F-32 & BAE Replica.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I'd gathered the bits to do a Hawker P.1030 so I'd be happy to do it as a master...

As for a P.1052/1081.  Someone is already doing one, so my suggestions are a P.1068* (straight through Sea Hawk with T tail) and a P.1087 (navalised 1081)

My suggestions:
Attacker trainer
"Prometheus" (that Attacker/Swift halfway house used in The Sound Barrier)
Hawker P.1067 "Demon" (the original Hunter with T Tail and MiG 21 style nose)*
Hawker P.1067 T-Tail (Early Hunter F-1 with T tail)*

*I did start some of these and would happy to pass bits along for use as masters.

Heritage I think.  AFAIK, the masters have been done.

I knew they were planned, I just hadn't seen the finished product for sale.

Hmmmm.  They look like tarted up versions of the old Maintrack resin kits and they were somewhat lacking.  The cockpits were pretty basic and I'd always planned to have a go at doing a decent front end.

Another suggestion - EE. P.6, the single RB.106 engined Lightning.

Cheers - those look tempting...

Basic cockpits I can live with, but what's up with the front end?

Nothing.  What I meant was with a decent cockpit.  Could be done old skool Czechmaster style, with a separate coaming.  And gun ports too - none of this unarmed research nonsense!  I want aeroplanes that kill people.

JayBee

Maintrack, in their Project X series, did a P1081.
I have just dug mine out of the stash and it is not a bad little kit, but as you say Lee the cockpit is rather basic.
Still, it IS a P1081.

Vacform or resin?  The former is horrid - I had one and quickly got rid of it.  PM me with your address, Jim.  I'll see what I can find by way of resin bits so you can tart it up a bit.
