At Ipswich Town ground, Portman Road.

Anyone else going?
I'm "visting" as luck would have it I'm in Ipswich for Rocky Horror the night before.

That's quite close to the Newark show isn't it?  Fair old trek to Ipswich as well, East Anglia has the rare talent of not actually being close to anywhere :banghead:

Yup awkward place to get to, although it's one train from Liverpool St I suppose. I'll see nearer the date

Hi all.  When is this Newark show, and who would I have to speak to about having a stall there?  (can't seem to find it on internet anywhere!)
Many thanks!!

Try asking IPMS Lincoln via the IPMS(UK) website. I think they have a link.
IPMS Lincoln are also having a stand at the IPMS Staffs Moorlands Show on July 4th, so if you're going to that (see modelling press, IPMS(UK) website) you could ask them....or I could as I'm there all day with IPMS Stafford.

I won't be going to Ipswich unless I get the weekend off and feel like wasting 2 hours crawling along the A12. Both are rather unlikely!

17th Oct according to a flyer in the model room garage.  Whiff SIG haven't had a table there the last couple of years, so we tend to descend en mass upon the Cold War SIG instead :)

The whiff sig is usualy at the Glasgow show the day before Neil. That why we dont do Newark.  Unlike Little cars who will be at Glasgow on the saturday, then drive over night to Newark....No wonder Paul has heart trouble now!

Whats wrong with a show without traders or were they relying in the money from the traders to pay for the show ?

Most shows, if not all, rely on the money from traders Steve. People don't realise the cost of running these things. I used to (many years ago) help run our local wargames club show and back then you could get away without traders for a local show. Used the local church hall etc, but not now. Everybody and their cousin wants to charge you for something. Hire of the venue is the big one.

That is a bugger, they didn't ask me if I wanted a table again this year, I would have said yes!
