Time for a quick update.. Slow progress but hey, at least I had fun last styrene session..

Cleaned things up a bit. Some minor sanding, add some weaponry and this one's about ready to get some paint slapped on.

Hmm, I think this needs a counter rotating prop.. that one prop looks too unimpressive for this speedy looking monster. And maybe I'll add 'something' under the fuselage (torpedo?).

Still developing as I go. Still didn't find my ordnance spares box back. But found my bottle of future floor finish to brighten up that 30 year old canopy.

Oh yes. Though the Crimson Skies one is based on the German B&V P.170 design. Wicked cool though. And definitely a contraprop for the Payen style one. Either that or a scimitar-shaped prop with lots of blades (6+!)

@ frank; Ha, so that was you! I saw that very model somewhere else on the web, and together with the real life Coanda plane it gave me the idea of building a ww1 jet fighter. Cool build btw!

@Sticky F; I was thinking of some multi tone (French?) camo, but now that you mention it, a night scheme would look pretty impressive too.. I'll give that some thought. I just added a tailcone behind the Ju 87G cockpit, and I want to build that into one smooth assembly. So no push prop.

@pyro; I think scimitar blades may look a bit 'modern' to my taste, so I'll probably stick with the contraprop. But maybe I'll reshape the piston engine into something like a turboprop engine (it's now just a leftover Lanc engine) a la Westland Wyvern.

@Pablo, yes, that's definitely the inspiration I used, together with the Luft 46 B&V P.170 design. Those Cromson Skies guns look very capable though.
