Got an Italeri (ex Esci) F-111A so might have a go at this group build. Don't know what to do with it really though coz it's not a TSR.2 or a Vigilante.
BTW is there a three-view and dimensions for the FB-111H?

If I am stupid enough to do an FB-111H am I right in stretching the rear fuselage only or is there a stretch up front too?

Couple of pics, box top and...

current status.

Had a horrible feeling it was going to be far worse than I thought Duncan! I'll probably go for something less ambitious.

Reet...

First things first, you've had a butchers at the items in the thread on the Secret Projects Forum I posted a link to?

You've saved the pics/drawings there?

If you haven't, DO SO.

Duncan

Having a quick gander at the link you posted, I don't see 'any' pics or drawings,  am I supposed to be a member to do that Duncan ?
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

That's a pity as I would have liked to have seen what was needed to produce the H version.

Are you willing to wait 4-5 months? (6 months on the outside)

...something interesting may start to happen at that point...

(plans have been scaled, donors sourced, and a plan of attack has been formed)

...and no Greg, before you even ask, I WILL NOT BE DOING IT FOR THIS GB....

...but I will be doing it... soon-ish

OH YES    a six month wait is not a problem, I have an interested in considering building one, depending on how involved it would be.

What scale you thinking of?

Slipped with the power tool!  ;D

I'm using the mark one eyeball method again so it'll be "sort-of-kinda-looks-like-an-FB-111H-ish"!
Haven't room to set up the printer at moment so I can't print off any scale plans to assist so if anyone (Duncan?!) can suggest how much I need to add at the front and rear cuts I'll be chuffed to bits!
I'm thinking of going for a more curvy rear end than the three views suggest. They look kind of slab sided in the three views but curvy in the artists impressions.
The B-1 engine pod is a great idea for the rear end Duncan but I don't have one in the stash so I'm thinking I'll skin the normal rear fuselage with some sections of a centreline drop tank from a 1/32 Revell Phantom.

Any progress on this build? Would be very interested to see how it panned out :)

Green Dragon

I got distracted by the Pirate GB.....and the Britmodeller WHIF GB.....errr and the seven or eight I'm doing for a mate...and the fifteen or twenty that are in various part built states! I did actually find the 111 in a pile of boxes today and started cutting plasticard about an hour ago.
It's still looking exactly like the picture above at the mo but I'll have a bit of a go and hopefully finish but it may be a bit more bulky in the rear  than I hoped!
