Actually it was really easy..... simply very light sanding, (just the weight of my fingertips), with ultra-fine grade wet'n dry and lots of water. If you want to try it out, I'd suggest practising a lot first on an old kit with raised panel lines. It's not too difficult to get right.

Yep finally got the time, and got my *rse into gear:

That's simply thin strips of Tamiya tape painted gold to reproduce the shoulder straps in the 'stored' position.
