Some time allocated to modelling this morning and today, so more progress on the 1/72nd AU-1....I really hope to at least prime it by Saturday!! But not sure as there's a "do" tonight and Mid's official send-off/bbq tomorrow afternoon, plus traditional pub visit on Friday night.

But I have thought of two "V-tail" modifications in French colours...both 1/48th kits, and I have at least one readily available in the loft. Decals at the ready too......

In fact, I've sourced decals for quite a few......good job the build lasts some time.
Photos WILL follow.....but just stuff it Overkiller (before you start!!)

I have retrieved from the loft a "V-tail" project kit.....I'll reveal it on Saturday at the SIG meet....hoping to get the fuselage sorted today, and butchered tomorrow!!

Also retrieved was a Revell Bf-109G-10 for the Vichy France '109.

Both kits 1/48th...unlike the one which needs a good rub down, seen below, which is 1 : 1

Radish, find your happy place, go on, find your happy place.  All will be OK!  Motorhead heals all, remember that!

I've butchered the 1/48th fuselage of a V-tail project, rocked, glued the fuselage together ready for further mods tomorrow, when I'll clean up the wings and possibly attach them too.

Rock and ROLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!

Out tomorrow afternoon/evening as Mid retires, BBQ in the afternoon and then on to t'pub.

So now I need to chill......

Fuselage cleaned up, but I'll leave it now until further work tomorrow at the SIG Meet.

More importantly, I've thought about my very unsatisfactory Italeri 1/72nd AU-1 disaster, and won't let it defeat me....I have further strategies to adopt when I build the next one soon. It'll be the Italeri F4U-5N this time though...in stock you see.

Spent an hour or two sanding bits of the Hellcat.

Started the Bf-109G and got the fuselage and wings together.  Looking good, it'll be slightly "tweaked" before painting in Vichy markings.

Lance supplied me with a !/72nd Super Etendard which will be lovely in RAF Gulf War Pink.

Thinking of Hobbyboss creations:

The F-86F in desert colours I've mentioned.
D.520 markings on a MiG-3?

More work on the V-tail project.
Looking for underwing stores at the moment, then a primer coat.
