hi all
we decided with a friend :tornado:to build a japane(i?)zed fw-190.
he builds an army subject and I build one from the navy.
the kit is the older dragon A5 special.
the cowling is changed to install the N1K-2 engine.the bulges on the sides of the cowling are remowed.
the wings are rescribed to imitate the install of 2x20mm cannons in each.
the prop and spinner are from the old tamyia raiden kit.which was used for testing metallic paints...
the wheels are stil to make from plastic.I want japanese looking wheels
the kit is painted mostly with gunze paints.the clear cote is from modellmaster acrylics range.
all markings are handpainted or airbrushed...not much all in all ;D
the showed kit is made in two evenings...and a half night...
the old dragon kit is not bad all in all...but the newer eduard was build in more or less same time but it was much
more stress-free. I have two new hasegawa A5 kits and these are a whale of difference better...
comments welcomed
best regards to all guys here!!!

Looks good.  The flaking paint gives it a very obvious Japanese character.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

FWIW, the Focke-Wulf Fw-190, if ever encountered in Japanese markings by the Allies, would have been called "Fred" in the nicknames given by the Allied Air Intelligence Unit.
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

There's a grey place between black and white, but everyone does have the right to choose the path that he takes...
