...the sorry state of operational Japanese aircraft late in the war, when lack of rubber from Malaysia reduced the IJA to delete tyres from their aircraft, and lack of proper metals to attach the canopy to the frame, needing tape to keep it from blowing off during flight!   :wacko:

That looks so right.

I suspect that the Japanese would have had trouble with the Fw 190 had they adopted it.  The climate on the islands would have played havoc with the electrics.
