Today was a busy day.
Few moments ago I applied the "engines" at the F-104 DELTA WING.
I used the RB-199's engine exhausts taken from a Tornado ESCI.
The engine nacelles are two center line tanks taken by two Phantom ever from ESCI.

Here's how it comes out the work:

Now I know what to do with those F-104's I have no idea what to do with.  And this sooo is gonna be an orbital fighter for me.

One idea was to complete the model as if it were in use at the Italian Air Force (F-104  and the engines from Tornado: Italy has had both models).

I presume that the bottom of the wing there is the air intake.

I searched in the computer but have not found other drawings to explain something.

Looking with Google I found a Chinese page http://tieba.baidu.com/f?kz=301461824 where there is the my F-104: it's called XX-201

Something done also today:

Initially I was undecided about where to put the air intakes: over the wings? Under the wings?

Sincerely I liked the idea of placing them above the wing in the area that could be seen but at the end I made the choice , to apply the air intakes under the wings because the risk of to do a bad work in a place where all is visible (over the wing) was not acceptable.

As a basis for the operation  I used the two pieces of halves from the the F-104 Monogram as donor kit.

Adapting  the Monogram  shells to the previously glued pieces took a little of plastic surgery.

This is the result obtained.

Now I have to smooth the connection of the two pieces (the connection is not clean at the 100%) but the hardest part is done.

Another problem:

From the engine exhaust can be seen inside the engine compartment and wing ...

With another piece taken from the donor model Monogram F-104

I solved the problem:

I'm not happy with the result but the space between the engine nozzle and the wing does not allow too much freedom.

it looks good , below the wing is best for the intake, looks smooth.
