I want your opinion about the rocket engine installation and folding ventral fin, à la MiG-23:




The fixed portion of ventral fin would act as a bumper to protect rocket nozzle during take off and landing. :thumbsup:

Oh that looks good - very Buccaneerish nose! :thumbsup:

By way of constructive criticism (and if it's already glued up then disregard), what strikes me is that the intakes are a) a little too small and b) need to be more parallel with the fuselage sides. Fixing the size would be awkward, but they could be toed in with just a small fillet where they  join their fairings.

That's some astonishing kit surgery on those intakes, Carlos! I love how at first glance it made me wonder and then after a double-take I was able to see the Lightning in it.

Well... the nozzle was taken from an Airfix Phantom. But I was thinking in a turbojet some more powerful than J79. So these intakes should be some bigger than a half of those of a Phantom. I understand that this is modelling not engineering but I can tell you that the intake from an hasegawa F-4E is approx 70 square mm area; and those of this model are 40 square mm (trunk not opening).

About parallelism of intakes, you know that W.E.W. Petter was not orthodox at all. ;) ;D
