At work we are still on the original box of 24 we had when we opened the shop 18 months ago.......popular isn't it ? though we do activly discourage people from buying it .

Everything looks better with the addition of British Roundels!

The problem I have with the "Contacta Professional" is the needle getting blocked, which I have yet to find a method to de block as it is so fine.

Just leave it upside down for a while (30-60mins) and the glue dissolves itself.

Glad to see the old tricks are still alive Steve
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Hmmmm, I have used revell glue since I started building in the dark ages of my youth(Way, Way Back 1970's) and I never Had any trouble.
Maybee if you have worked with it for some time you get used to it.
So, if you find a glue you are happy with, than you should stick with it?! Hehehehehe

The normal "watery" Contacta, whether in bottles or the "Professional" dispensers with the needle, is fine: I use it all the time. The issue here is with the Contacta "Special" which comes in a big heavy square-based bottle with a big blue top. This stuff is much thicker and stringier, and is apparently intended as a general-purpose adhesive like UHU, to be used on clear parts, chromed ones, non-plastic ones etc, while still being able to melt styrene together. I find it too thick and Stringy to be useful for anything much.

Ok, Ok.
So I never have used the Special one. Even Revell can have it sometimes wrong.
