Well the Trumpy 1:48 kit is out and already there's a build over on Bitmodeller http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=53941 - So what about export users and varients - Any ideas ????

(The announced or unconfirmed first customers according to Wikipedia (so it must be right ) - Zimbabwe, Somalia, Uzbekhistan & Iceland (kidding )

My two penn'arth
Nth Korea - Surely a What If 'shoe-in'
Serbia/Croatia/Montenegro/Albania - Dream-up any camo scheme you want, just go-for-it.
Republic of Texas - Yee haw !
Cuba
Brazil - in lieu of the Rafale/Gripen/Hornet (non)decision
USA - de-fanged Aggressor, go-on you know it makes sense.
Peru and/or Ecuador
Angola
Algeria
Philipines.

I'm certian that there's lots more you can imagine, but outside the Republic of Texas and the USA, I've tried to keep my 'wish list' in the realm of the 'not impossible'.

Over to you lot.

Republic of China?  Red China is start to have more of a indigo shade....

Zambia, they've taken some Chinese second line equipment in recent(ish) years & are in need of replacing their MiG-19's & MiG-21's.  Maybe use of the larger markings from the Zotz ROTW sheet?  Some quite funky schemes:

Mongolia, in a similar position to Zambia, taken most of their equipment from the USSR with a little bit from China.  Blue Rider do some decals in 1/48.

Adding to Former Yugoslav Republics, Macedonia would be good (decals in 1/48 though?).  They only have Su-25's as frontline fixed wing aircraft & their markings & colours are funky.

Other mentions on Wiki:
Azerbaijan
Egypt
Iran
Bangladesh
Sudan
Nigeria
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

After their testing the Z-11, Argentina could be another possibility.

How about Tanzania? Their motley collection of MiGs will need replacement some day.

Or Kenya? They acquired some Z-9 anti-tank-configured choppers only recently and have operated Harbin Y-12s for about a decade now. The Chinese are investing heavily in Kenya. Maybe some military hardware could be acquired as an offset deal. And those F-5s are not going to last forever.

Sadly, not any longer. :( They retired them some time ago.

Well, even more of a need then!

RAAF by any chance???  Actually, NZ might be a good option...

Nope - though I did think of NZ.

I've got one in the stash too, was thinking Egyptian with those big orange ID panels when I get round to it.
Moritz, I think I read somewhere that Kenya just bought a load of refurbished F-5E's from Jordan(?) but a JF-17 would look smart in their colours. Think I have some Kenyan roundels from a Hasegawa Hughes 500 Defender around here so I might have to nick that idea!

Yup, they bought a dozen or so ex-Jordanian Es and a few Fs as well. There was one post one someone's blog that claimed the Kenyan Air Force had repainted it's Tiger fleet in a different camo schemes with two greys on top (a light and a medium grey), but I was never able to find any verification for this. Might be a neat idea, though. Please, by all means, nick the idea. The whiffing world needs more African subjects.

India, as a late contender for the soon-to-be-announced MMRCA?  Though I suppose it might lead to some confusion if shooting starts again with Pakistan.

India's out, as they're about to down-select for the MMRCA, plus with it being partially built by Pakistan . . .

China's definitely a possibility, since they still have a bunch of J-6s and J-7s that will need to be replaced, and it may not be possible to go 1 for 1 with Flankers or J-10s. So is Venezuela, they'll need to replace the CF-5s and eventually the F-16s soon.

Besides, wouldn't the JF-17 be too light for the requirement to begin with?

If they keep on flopping around with LCA, might as well.
