India, as a late contender for the soon-to-be-announced MMRCA?  Though I suppose it might lead to some confusion if shooting starts again with Pakistan.

Not a hope in hell - but if you wanted to p*** off a lot of Indians and Pakistani's, you could model one...

Someone on Flugzeugforum managed to lay his hands on one of the new Trumpeter 1/72 FC-1 Firece Dragon/JF-17 Thunder and it looks to be an absolute gem of a kit. Trawling the web for some pics, I also found a couple of whifs.

Oh My....That twin tailed beast looks like a poor man's F-35.

The JF-17 has always reminded me of the F-20 Tigershark, even though it is descended from the Mig 21.  If the Chinese can master mass production of this thing along with the J-10 and J-20 it will be a formidable competitor against Western combat designs, especially at a Chinese price point.  If anything the Thunder Dragon will be a great F-5 replacement for a host of Third World Air Forces.
