Good work Draken35, celebrating twin-boomers, especially unreal ones, is SO good...
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

Draken35

OK, putty is removed; some rescribing needed is also made.

Some touch of colors on the cables in the wheel bays

The front of the cockpit sounds OK before painting...

...But not really good after painting. Some extra work (and putty) will be needed here...

Allan

Draken--I've got my eye on this build...looking good

I fear your skills will make my own Flitzer Zwilling look very bad, compared, but let you go on: a good work is always fine. Thanks to be that good ;D

Thank you, Allan and Tophe!

Tophe, I'm sure your model is very good...

Correction in progress...

I've also drilled the fuselage guns...

...and the wings guns too!

next step: sanding, of course  ;D

NARSES2

Well your hand/eye co-ordination is waaay better then mine with those wing guns

Nice little trick with the part number tabs by the parts. Would save me a few slip ups  :banghead:

Draken35

Thank you!

OK, sound really better now...

Drybrush with white color

Canopy is placed. Not the best fitting from Revell... A little bit of Vallejo putty was needed.

Next step: masking of the wheel bays, and white primer overall.

Army of One

BODY,BODY....HEAD..!!!!

IF YER HIT, YER DEAD!!!!

Draken35

Next...

First, I have had to glue all the small parts because the positioning holes are a little bit surdimensioned. So, after having glued the parts, putty was needed.
Then, for the first time I used sponge to mask the wheel bays, air intakes, etc. Faster than paper or masking tape; more useful than Maskol (I don't like to use Maskol). Very useful? Well, we will seen that later, when removing the sponges...

White primer. Neede for what I wish to realise.

Correction needed to a rescribed panel...

Draken35

The (white) background of the cockades is masked with Eduard masks and Tamiya maskin tape

Then I have rescribed the panels of the nose, correcting the incorrect ones with Vallejo putty

A little bit of red...

Draken35

The zones painted in red are masked; then I've airbrushed on all the surfaces Tamiya XF-19 Sky Grey

Sky Grey will cover the undersurfaces but will also be one of the three colors of the camo of the uppersufaces.
The pitot and the antenna, that were really bothering during the airbrushing phase, were removed. I will place them again later...

I've also removed the Eduard masks of the undersuface. Not easy at all...

Tophe

Interesting. This is what I should have done with mine if I were skillfull...

Thanks, Tophe!

Masking of the undersurfaces before painting of the uppersurfaces...

That's looking really sharp!

I must admit, I'm very tempted to pick up a Flitzer kit for myself.

There's a certain appeal to visualising it in Italian co-beligerent markings and smoke ring camo.

Or maybe Hungarian markings when they had those big chevrons on the wings.

I'll second either of those options
