This is a really striking model. The underwing "turrets" are a fascinating addition. The "rangefinder" wings of the turret are perfect shell-ejection chutes. Hopefully the rate-of-fire is better than a battleship's 2 or 3 a minute!!

I don't know quite when the armed forces of the world "discovered" wing-tip accessories (fuel tanks, armament, etc) were feasible, but they appeared shortly after WW II, so why not "whiff" them into WW II?

I thought it was a missile equipped night fighter first (I always look at pix first, then read backstories

) but this night attack Dora looks great! Sort of a flying IR-Panther. Very cool.
