Not that I want to enter this political and emotional hotbed dealing with French and English rivalries but as a long time observer of the Quebec sepratist movement, and often hearing the cry for Newfoundland independance I think I may have something to add to the conversation. That being, waaaaay cool jet. I love the fact that you didn't opt out for the typical exhaust nozzel for the '16. The nozzel you have looks much more like the JSF exhaust. Is she supposed to be a swivler or vectoring type? What's more, love the paint! And that's all I have to say about politics on this web site. ^_^

The engine is surposed to be the RB-199 out of a Tornado. The burner can is a rehashed F-16 one, doctered to attempt to look like the hot end of a 199.
The model includes parts from a pair of F-16's 1 italeri,1 Revell. the engine nossel came from an Italeri Eurofighter Typhoon, the droptanks (which u havent seen yet) are from a Matchbox Jaguar T-2, the Bombs and aim-9's (again u aint seen em yet) are from a Matchbox Phantom.

Tophe, when we say twin tails, the reasonning is simple.

Look at a P-38.  How many tails do you see?  I see two.

Look at a F-14.  How many tails do you see?  I see two.

Now, you can mix that around and say that the P-38 is a twin boom aircraft, but it's also twin tail!

Like squares being rectangles etc...

How about this one : a P-38 with a single tail in the middle of the stab!!

But... "what if" the manfacturer had in mind to push for the name Spitfire 2 to ressurect a feeling for the "glory days" of the RAF (public relations ploy to help sell the bird) and had her painted as a memorial to "The Few". The teary eyed old boys might be tempted to pop a letter or three off to parliment to push the purchase of at least a dozen squadrons. But, hee hee, that a "what if" senario. ;)
