Had an enjoyable day rummaging through my Pegasus test shot boxes today, in particular the late 80s'/early 90's period. To give you some idea, when Chris Gannon was knocking the kits out in his garden shed, sorry 'unit'(!), he held back the first 15 or so mouldings as spares or for sub masters should the mould break. These got depleted over the years, and when I picked up all the gear two years ago, I got the contense of a chest of draws dumped into two mail sacks. Unfortunately in few cases are there more than one or two complete kits, with a few exceptions. The boxes I was digging through today had some really early stuff, things like a few minicons (but no wings), Sparrowhawks (no fuselage!), various bits of P111A's and MB.5s etc, you get the picture.
However, in another box I have a load of spare metal bits (mostly WWI sets), but also a load of pewter for the XFV-1 Salmon. Several months ago Kit Spackman asked me if I have any plastic parts left, I am pleased to say after many hours, and having put some aside for Kit, I have half a dozen complete Salmon kits available (albeit without decals, boxes or instructions). I'm offering them for £5.00 each plus postage of around £2.00 each. I will be at Farnborough, Brampton and Sutton Coldfield later this month if anyone wants to collect.
So, if anyone is interested in one drop me a pm, I don't plan on offering them outside the sig, bit of a niche market I think....

Amazing what you can find when you dig deep enough Colin.

So glad you put some by for me, thanks indeed. That's the only kit in the world that has my name on the box, so I'm just a tad baised of course.  ;D

the XFV.1 was always one of the better kits in the Pegasus range, goes together well and looks really neat sitting next to the old KP. Pogo, stil sought after too for those wanting to complete their US. prototype collections, definately one you should consider reissuing perhaps?

cheers, joe

The Wooksta!

I'd be very happy to take the MB5s off your hands!  That was always a nice kit to build.

If Wooksta hasn 't gobbled up all the MB5's, I'll have a couple as well if you don't mind Colin.

MB5s? MB5s?

I was so blinded by the news about the XFV-1s I didn't see the bit about MB5s, but I'd dearly love an MB5 fuselage pair and a canopy if any are available please?

If there's  any wing/fuselages, not to mention the rather nice white metal, from the Spitefuls Pegasus did, I'd happily nab them too.

Hehehe, I guess, but in the Salmon's case it has my surname as well.  ;D

No, NOT PR19!

When Chris Gannon was doing the planning for the XFV-1, with a bit of a push from me anyway I might add, I was able to supply him with some vintage reference material, and he was good enough to acknowledge that on the box itself. My chuffed-ness factor rose by a considerable amount.

No Spitefuls I'm afraid, but a few of the rather suspect later Spitfire 22 he did, plastic pasts only. Also got same of the Spitfire prototype.

Unfortunately bits of MB5 are very limited (found a canopy and one wing!), and bugger all Swifts, which is a shame as I never had one of those stumpy nosed things...

The Wooksta!

The final Spitfire F22 he did was quite nice, especially the prop which was better than the Aeroclub one.  Tail surfaces a little thick but overall, it's certainly a workable kit.

Hello Colin, I am interested in the P.111a stuff you have, as the plane looks like it could have some use in my SHADO builds.
Can you PM me with what you have and how much please and we can sort a deal out.
Cheers,
Chris.
