Yep, just the one branch, not the chain.

Building owner wants to turn it into a Premier Inn.  Not like there's no other hotels in the area - mind you there must be a market for the more economy places to stay as there's 2 Travelodges both sides of Holborn down by Drury Lane.  So all it is is a bit of healthy competition.  And for our foreign readers it's like Easyjet versus Ryanair - and one of the hotel chains is very definitiely the Ryanair of the two IMHO.  No names no pack drill in case of litgation!

I cannot but agree there sir
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The MZ in Brighton looked healthy the other day when I nosed in and about ....... but the modelling section looks about 25% of the business, maybe? They expanded not all that long ago ..... probably pre-fin.crash though. It's a nice friendly  shop ..... beautiful model railway stuff.

Got to admit I was tempted by the Fennek, I wondered about adding a small turret to create a modern Ferret/Fox type thingy?  Also tempting were Revell 1/144 C-121 Constellations for £3.50.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

According to the website the Revellobox Canberra PR.9 is now down to £6.99, which finally makes it look attractive as whiff-fodder compared to the superior Airfix one.

Also:

1/80th Revell Classics B-57 for £3.50
1/72nd Revell HH-60G Pave Hawk £3.75
Revell Hanomag and Krupp truck £1.75 each
Revell 2 x Hummers in one box : £2.99

Harold....the Airfix 1/48 Canberra is £7 at the mo....or £7.99....can't remember.....I was tempted by a 1/48 Italeri impala...(?) a single seat light attack version of a tandem seat trainer....lovely looking kit....that was in the sale....

Yes I've looked at both, but I only do 1/72nd: gotta control the space it all takes up somehow...... ;D

I was in the Basingstoke MZ today and the sales section was pretty well wiped out. Oh, a lot of stuff still there, but a lot of it was multiples of the same kit.
