Maybe it's the "antique" ones I've seen about then ?

Well the Croydon branch has loads of new aircraft in the sale, sorry I didn't look at the other genres. Includes a lot of Hasegawa stuff in 1/72 and 1/48 plus a few Cyber Hobby Helldivers. Given their "normal" prices bringing them down by 50% or so actually makes them realistic prices IMHO. Also have some fairly recent Revell re-releases, He 115 for instance.

I went in there this lunchtime, didn't buy any kits just some modelling body putty.

I may pop into the Grainger street branch tomorrow.  Looking out for something for a mate.

They're currently offering a free head-band mounted magnifier and light if you spend £50 on the website.

They're also getting the Fujimi Bladerunner car kits in July, although they're horrifically expensive.

Thanks to those ultra right wing tossers from the English Defense League, I couldn't get anywhere near Modelzone and was trapped in sweltering conditions on a bus for 30 minutes.

I can't say what I *really* think about these evil cretinous racist scumbags as I would be banned.

There's a new store opening along Oxford Street/Bloomsbury Street at the junction of Shaftsbury Avenue. I was on the 52 bus which was on divert over the weekend.

Visited the New Oxford St replacement for the Holborn MZ at lunchtime.
about 40% the size of the Holborn hop (possibly a fraction smaller), obviously a similar contraction in stock size.  Sadly the contraction did not apper to me to be uniform - tons of diecast it seemed.  The volume of railway stuff was probably the same ratio as the Holborn shop's.  Paints, etc, probably the same amount as Holborn.  Plastic kits though.  Seemed to be a fair amount but an odd make up - not a wide selection even wiithin the limitations of the avilable space and not very enticing.  Other than for Humbrol stuff shan't be going back in a hurry I'm afraid.

Been to the new store today and very disappointed. A smaller shop with a smaller stock.

The shop in Croydon is a lot better out the 3 that I go to, Bromley, Croydon and Central London.
