Got a chance to have a quick chat with Mel as he was packing up on Sunday. Apparently the MUSTARD kit is all ready to go, but the guy who's supposed to be casting it is messing him around with a string of excuses. Didn't even ask about the Wasp...

Good God there's actually some signs of progress! 

Artwork for the Wasp box. Latest promise is April 2020 for the 1/72nd version and November for the 1/48th version.




Now a surprise (well to me at least) an O-class submarine in 1/700th due for Telford in November:




And finally some progress on MUSTARD. Casting kit has now been 3D printed and sent to the casters and MIGHT (the phrase is "fingers crossed") might be available at Telford:

1/72 FV432/30 Turret, Stowage Bin and Detail parts in Resin and Etch will be available at Telford.

1/144th scale C-130 kits (Minicraft toolings) have arrived. The base kit contains parts for any one of the following 3 versions:

C-130A: 3-blade prop and flat nose (or C-130B with radar nose)
C-130E: 4-blade prop
C-130J: 6-blade prop and new nacelle (short fuselage)

Kits also contain 2 style of drop tank and tail fairing. Base kits are bagged with no decals. Also available will be boxed kits with decals by 2/6 decals. The first two are:

RAF: Sand/dark earth/black scheme
RCAF: Early with lightning stripe

To follow:

RAF: The Fat Slags
RAF: Special tails

Kits will be available from this Saturday (26/10) at IPMS Portsmouth show or SMW Telford in November. Prices:

Base kit: £20.00
Kit with decals: £26.00



Canberra B2 (SMK72-40) is now SOLD OUT. From 10/10/2019 all Canberra T4 kits (SMK72-39) will contain parts for the B2 but NO decals or instructions for the B2. The T4 and B6 kits are still available.

At http://sandmmodels.co.uk/ with the S&M catalog   and "about us" page, I have not found the meaning of S & M, I have sent a mail to them to know if this is Supplies and Models (in a love story that I am planning to write, I will receive such a S & M kit, with a misunderstanding as these are the initials of a girl that killed me twice).

I think the S & M are the initials of the two owners of the company Tophe. IIRC they're Husband & Wife.

The one I always like with names is 'Cornish Yarg' cheese. Everyone assumes that 'Yarg' is some old piratey Cornish word, but actually the cheese was invented in 1984 from an old recipe found by a couple called Gray and 'Yarg' is just 'Gray' backwards...

Has anyone built the  1/72nd scale  Bristol  Sycamore here? I quite  fancy  one,  but no3 sure  of my fingers  could  cope with one or not.
