One of the guys in the 144 SIG has done a Princess and it's magnificent!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Various S&M decal sheets that could be particularly useful for whiffers (not just on helos):

(1/78th scale to fit the Revell kit)

Why don't they do the 'dyne decals in 1/72 to fit the Airfix kit?

I like the BEA High Speed Jack version, but it should be a blue stripe, not black.

Because the Revell one was reissued fairly recently and is widely available?

BTW, the red Whirlwind on the first helo sheet is the BEA-tles machine seen at the end of A Hard Day's Night.

cause Mel did them for the Airfix kit years ago as separate sheets, I did the red square one years ago :)

I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Given the size of the thing, that doesn't seem unreasonable at £28.

That's the original Williams Bros. kit of the mid '70s IIRC. It's pretty good, I have one, but investing in the Falcon vacform windscreen set would be a good move as the glass area is enormous and really demands a good cockpit job done on it.

In passing I went aboard one, 'China Doll' herself, some years back and the cockpit really is huge, you sit in the Captain's seat and the window sill is below your knees, and it's about a foot away from you as well.

I might treat myself to that Shetland
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Captain Canada

I've got the Williams kit, saved for a RW Buffalo Airways build. Compared to the DC-3, the thing is huge !

Love to grab another tho.
