I can't tell you how delighted I was when I Googled 'S&M Models' and got the company website as opposed to any other ahem specialised interest groups.  They need a bit of work on their website if it is to come up to the standard of their resin though...

They all look very happy to be working there though! And young, and smartly dressed! ;D

Back in the late 1990s I was working at a University providing IT support.  One of the lecturers had resisted being given a new PC for a couple of years on the basis that he was soon to retire.  Finally we put our foot down and forced him to accept a brand new PC with Win98.  He then came to me and asked me how he could search the web for information about his favourite Unix word processing program called "LATex" (pronounced "LA-Tex" not "latex").   I said, just type it into the navigation bar at the top of the screen in (those days) Mozilla.  So, off he went, happy as Larry.  A hour or so he came back, rather dismayed.  He'd typed "latex" and been surprised at some of the websites he'd been directed to!  ;D ;D ;D

Yup it's a strange name to choose that's for sure  Have to agree re the website as well. The kits are fantastic but as you say, the website lacks a touch

And not before time either, but I expect it'll cost an entire month's pension to pay for it.  :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

The web site was mentioned while talking to Mel at Huddersfield. He knows its crap and apparently has some one working on a replacement.

There is actually quite a bit in S &Ms planned works and they ae being developed by various associates including Alistair McLean formerly of A2zee. Some of these projects are earmarked for SMW2015, some may appear before that and others will appear in 2016 or later. Please remember they a small operation and the announcements are more a statement of intent so others like Colin can ensure they don't clash on subjects and possibly complement instead. Not mentioned in list posted earlier are the outstanding Nimrods Genesis conversions, the 1/144 HS-681, the alternative V-force range and the 1/72 F-155T projects; neither are the new 1/72 injection moulded kits of the Provost, jet Provost, Canberra Bomber and possibly the Buccaneer (depends on if Tan Model do theirs and if its OK and available ).

So there is a lot coming but please be patient and remember some of these kits won't be cheap as they are large models in 1/72nd and do cost quite a bit to master and produce.

That would be WD942, 'Greenlander II', of 47 Sqdn. from RAF Topcliffe.

That was my Dad's squadron at the time and the whole place went on emergency status while they tried to recover the crew. They needed air drops to keep them alive while a rescue attempt was setup and I think it was carried out by USAF ski-equipped C-47. We had a map on the wall at school with a diary of how things were going. I don't think we saw my Dad for about 3 weeks!

I think there was a vacform Hastings a while back, maybe Contrail/Sutcliffe or one of those guys did it.

 kit you are a star!

the HP world is small and exclusive. I have never seen one of those vacforms ever, though I keep a watchful eye for one. they date from the early 1980's iirc.
