I'll probably take a gamble on the VC10 - got to be better quality than the Magna one.

It's developed from the AiM moulds, I think OGL mentioned that last week sometime, so it can't be so bad.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Eh ?

Aircraft in Minature didn't do a VC-10 that was Airways and those are being re-issued by RAM models in November with new decals from Two-Six Decals.

The S&M 1/72nd VC-10 Airliner is being mastered by Alistair Mclean formerly from A2Zee as a new tool resin kit

I had asked Neil Gaunt (AiM owner) that sometime ago when this question cropped up before, he said he's never done a 1/72 VC-10 because it had already been done  ---- apart from Airways, don't know of any other (I'll have to look in the big book)

Hi Guys,
Just been on their website and came across the following conversion sets. The only one listed with the scaleis the 1/72 Bristol type 170  TRE nose radome priced at £7.
Does anyone know what the scales are for the following items;
B707 AEW, E-3 style radome £15
BAC 1-11 AEW E-2 style radome £9
HS 801 AEW Comet £13
Short Stirling C5 £9.

Heritage Aviation Models Limited do a similar conversion in 1/72 for the Short Stirling at around the same price.

Many thanks,
Steven

Thorvic

Try looking at the product codes as they start either 44 or 72 or 48.

They don't appear to break down the sets by scale in any of the shop sections which would make things a tad easier, but its still a massive improvement over the previous site.

The Wooksta!

The Stirling is 72nd, I'd assume that the others are 144th.

very impressed indeed with the new S+M 1/144 decal sheet covering AEW/MPA/ELINT a/c.

was able to buy this at the IPMS Birmingham show yesterday.

worth £10 i'll say as several of the emblems are extremely useful for whiffing RAF stuff! :)

until I can get access to Mel's website, I have managed to identify all bar one of the sqn emblems too! :)

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
