I'm sorry about this but I've just had visions of our own dear Rad in full "Rocky Gear" standing behind the S&M stand as a sales assistant.

OUCH!!!!  The vertical hold on my imagination has just blown a fuse!!

Note for younger readers:  long, long ago, TV sets had horizontal and vertical hold controls to stabilise the picture on your cathode ray tube. If the hold went, the picture seemed to revolve  vertically.

NOW you've confused them even more by referring to a 'Cathode Ray Tube'...,

Modern TVs are so boring.  They can't make that distinctive sound you get when you crack a vacuum tube.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

....or the hot metal smell  and picture vanishing into a single white dot that suggests that something is not quite as it should be.

Hmm, when I was at school in the 50s, a schoolfriend of mine had an old well in the garden of his parent's house. We'd heard that CRTs didn't explode if you broke them, but IMploded so we decided to test this 'theory' with an old TV he had to hand, and we dropped it down the well, while we looked down after it......

I was taking small pieces of glass out of my hair for days afterward!  :banghead:

We also used the same well to test the theory that you could actually make gunpowder yourself, but that's another story......
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

experience has taught me to expect the worst.

OK, I've opened up a thread in everyday chat called  SILLY THINGS WE DID IN A MIS-SPENT YOUTH.   Hopefully, we will hear the gunpowder story  from Kit,  how I managed to coat a classroom ceiling in red paint demonstrating how a volcano works and all of your other tales of experimentation

You can, granted not the finest but it goes "Bang"  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

You should really post up the original link, as Mel is also getting RAF Decals for the new Roden 1/144 Galaxy (As per Atlas's Shoulders), he's doing the 1/144 BAC Mustard from BSP 5 as well as the Canberra's which Colins suggests may be in the £40+ mark

Dam it  :banghead:

I have an Anigrand C-5 to do as an RAF bird using VC-10 decals as a basis so its typical that someone brings out an I/P kit of the C-5 and someone else does the decals for what I was going to do too  :banghead: :banghead:

I spoke to Mel the other day, he is hoping to keep it below £40, but that is if you buy direct from him. Will be limited to run of 600 B.2 and 400 T.4 kits, plastic parts same, only different decals in the box.

Alas, those V alternatives are not in my scale, though I'd love to see them in 1:72. Those Canberras, however...
All hail 1:72!
