This is my main entry for the nationals display.  B)


meet the Boeing P-4A Patroler (or Boeing Patroler MR-1 to the RAF).
ordered to replace the Nimrod after our beloved leader Maggi fell out of love with the type after the AEW-3 fiasco. In a fit of rage she orders the scrapping of the entire Nimrod fleet and Boeing offer yet another rehash of the 707 airframe. Duly ordered and put into service.

The model is as im sure you have guessed is the 72nd scale Heller E-3 sutubly butchered. Ie Weapons bay cut into the forward fuss just ahead of the wings, and a mad boom grafted onto the tail. paint job. Hemp over MSG of course. decals still to be delt with. weapons load. Not yet finalised, the bay is currently empty, and there will allso be a few pylons on the wings for harpoons and sidewinders.

Whoa Martin!

Lovely!

Did you had any troubles with the CFM 56 and the wings?  The guy in SAMI had trouble with his....

Oh yes they were a bitch to fit. ill know what to do next time. (two more in stock)

with the other E-3's?  nothing special, they will be right out of the box....I need an RAF sentry in the colection

Outstanding Martin, as Steve said, it's going to be an awsome show this year. Will that beastie need a fighter escort??

Hmm fighter escourt may its time I started on those AV-16's Thor keeps badgering me to do lol
