<...> Why can't the RTR have a cool looking walker thingy? ??????

Because they couldn't find a way to make them leak oil!

I'm just kiddin'. ;)  But you raise an interesting point. You see all kinds of wild German designs, but next to nothing for the Allies.

Now thats a challenge.....how to build a mechanically unreliable, underpowered, undergunned, underarmoured Sci-Fi walker in 7th Armoured Division markings....

I can just see it in a desert setting with an oil tray underneath it  ;D

Simple....give the project to vauxhaul.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Frank Forster posted some images of the MBC Camouflage Show 2009 on Track-Link and there are a couple of WHIFs included that are worth sharing with this forum (images and links to each image are provided with a link to page just in case the hot-linking fails later).

QuoteMBC Camouflage is a German Model Club with modelers from all over Germany. http://www.mbc-camouflage.de

Their head man is the well known mModeler and shop owner Manfred Kohnz. Camouflage attend many shows in Germany and BeNeLux and therefore have many good relations to other modeling clubs. Their modeling subjects are spread very far, almost exclusively of military nature. They do have some excellent modelers among their members. Unfortunately their site is only in German.

The 2009 show was the third show of MBC Camouflage but the shows get better and better every year. In a new facility, the had vendors attending for the first time, and good vendors they were. Mako, Schatton, Anfatman and many more made it difficult to decide where to leave the money.
Modeling was on a very high level and I found a lot of inspiration for my future projects.

I hope you get some impressions of a small but well organized german modelshow. I am always impressed to see pics of the very big american and english shows but also like our small and cozy shows.

Frank.

From the MBC show.  Couldn't link directly to those on Track Link and those don't show on the club site but there were these:

Note the interesting camo on the tank to the right of the dio.

Here is the link to the pics on Track Link.

William Ngan has posted a couple of WHIF models on Track-Link that are quite impressive.  Both of these models are scratch built and share the Gundam theme for the Anti-Mobile Suit Hunter-Killer teams or squads.

MLRS-8x8 on MAN (project) built by Diethelm Berlage
QuoteA project from the german MLRS-manufactor in 1993 to make the MLRS air-mobility. I build the model in 2005 with components from the MLRS, the MAN-truck and scratched parts. It´s a bit fantasy, because I had seen only one sketch in an advertising in a military magazine.

Really nice and inspiring site track link  I had never known about those cool whiff armour (Tiger III, Krokodil, E75...) but the best concept IMHO is the 30mm armed VCI. It´s a pity it´s a fake, but sure a nice addition to any Fatherland dio.

Some images of a "Paper Panzer" WHIF E-25 built by Joe Imwalle using the Trumpeter 1/35th scale E-25 kit.  I have no idea why the one road wheel is missing and he mentions nothing in his brief description.

Thanks for the ID . Considering the bulk I had thought the calibre would be bigger as those 128mm guns at the bottom of this page

ChernayaAkula

Yeah, I also thought it was bigger. Thought it was in the 10.5cm range.
Cheers,
Moritz
