Thought I'd throw another quick one together.  Problem is, I messed up some of it, resulting in significant gaps (my own fault more than the kit's).  Put in a Mustang front seat, too.

How dare you build a model for fun!?!?!?
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Now that takes me back a bit. I used to get Monogram kits for birthdays and Christmas as a kid. They weren't to common over here and were that strange Yankee scale 1/48  ;D Built the T-28 back then and typically for me at the time put every possible bit of ordanace I could get on her out of the box...she would have had to walk to the target and fly back  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I guess I'll bump this one, among others that I'm coming onto late. . .

Whenever I tell myself I'll throw something together quick, it invariably turns into a monster.

Thanks for showing that trick with the styrene to fill gaps.  This is something I do quite often, and it works really well for spacing things evenly.  And it sands up much cleaner than any putty or other filler.

I was not aware that you were allowed to have fun ;D

Ahh, the dreaded PSR continues with stage two.  The gap-filling (fap-gilling?) styrene strips have been sanded down and a second coat of Bondo red putty has been applied.

Good progres, It's a pity a can't get a T-28 in Spain.

John Howling Mouse

Well, after only three or four stages of PSR (I lost count), I think all the gaps are smooth enough now to paint.  Maybe.

I envy you, In Spain is impossible to find a T-28, It's a great work.
Ah! do you know some direction to buy this in UK?
Thanks

What scale are you wanting Pablo??
Chris.

1/48, I have the 1/72 of Heller but it isn't the same thing. :drink:

Not the most exciting update  :-\ but I thought I'd show at least SOME progress.  Added pylons from another kit, stuffed the massive landing bay voids for painting and masked canopy off.  I used two strips of overlapping aluminum tape for the gap b/w fore and aft canopy pieces.

For you, my friend, this qualifies as a speed-build    !
