I'm not sure that this belongs here, and and it certainly isn't Whif - unless the gentleman in question has some nefarious plans, which I doubt - but I'm casting the net wide. A friend of mine's father is intending to build, or is building, a model of the Hood. Presumably at somewhat smaller than 1:1 scale. Does anyone happen to know where he might be able to find plans of the hull lines?

They're really good at finding things like that.

Thanks very much, guys, I've put him onto the above sources. Apparently, this model is supposed to be 43 feet long (1:20) scale, and his wife is strongly opposed to the idea. I wonder why?

HOW long????  :o

That begs the question 'Why'? And where is he going to a) build it and b) put it eventually?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I have no idea. Apparently he's recently retired and is trying to figure out what to do with himself. With a model that size, he might as well put an engine in it and keep it at a marina.

Exactly, I've hired holiday boats on the Thames and the Broads a lot smaller than that!
