Yeah...that think must've been a dawg trying to accelerate.  Now, if they'd mounted it on an M-923 5t chassis, it might work.  Probably a National Guard unit.  Lord knows, when I was there, we were scrounging. ("Mr Secretary, why do we have to scrounge scrap metal for armor plate?"  Yes, that PFC from Tennessee was assigned to 42d ID(M))  We were turning old T gas cylinders into .50cal mounts for our 998s.

I think you'll find its actually an Iraqi Army vehicle, not a US Army one.  Apparently it was discovered after Iraq was over run in 2003.
