I'd go USAF/NASA with this one.  It's so awesome, I might try my hand at emulating it.

Well, it's got paint on it. I still have yet to finalize the affiliation though.

Another thought: US Coast Guard, as a space rescue craft.

I probably won't have an update for a while since exams are coming up. (I'm currently going to school to work on the real thing, I'm hoping for an internship at Marshall next summer.)

So, since she's gonna be a NASA bird, would you want to continue the Shuttle naming scheme (exploration ships) or go with something else, like explorers themselves, astronauts lost in the line of duty, star names, planet names...?

If you continue the shuttle names, I'd suggest Beagle.  A good ship, and a good little Mars probe

Tonight's progress. I thought I'd go old school with the NASA insignia on the cargo bay.

Pretty much all my shuttles are going to be "Old School" NASA with the markings (all 25 of them).  I don't like the blue meatball looking thing.

The meatball existed BEFORE this NASA logo! So THEY went old school by reusing it!
