Sorry for dredging up an old thread, but over on SSM, someone noted that IPMS have put up a site for SMW 2011.  There's a gallery of shots from last year,

http://www.smwshow.com/gallery.php

Down near the bottom of the page I spotted this:

I don't remember who everyone is, but I recognize some of the models, and the "What If" sign is hard to miss.

ah yes, that photos appeared in the ipms magazine SMW review.

Its caption dared to accuse us of being involved in the now infamous rubber chicken kidnapping of all things!

Bounders, bounders all.

I wonder what indignities were perpetrated on the defenceless inanimate duck of rubber substance....he's losing his squeak.

From what I hear, it was rather well treated, compared to the indignity of having its foot G clamped to the table of the Biggels Sig to prevent it wandering off again.

After looking at all the photos, I can simply say wow. That's about all I can muster. SMW looks like THE model show I should visit when Rach and I visit the UK.

Lenny, I love your S-67, it's one of only two I have ever seen built up and it looks superb!

I was quite taken aback by the navalised RN P-40, it is identical to what I had in my mind's eye of the final mark of the Curtiss-Fairey Kittiwake. Who built it? I'd love to compare notes.

Of the several XP-40Qs their that one was for me the very best.  A delightful kit to build OOB, to boot.  I plan to de-whif mine at some point.
