Yep that is the cover I have. The sharks do look different. I just assume like all warships that there are numerous different models of the same ship.

Well it's more useful than some of the TTA line drawings....

I'd say there's two things wrong with the drawing:

1. The back end is wrong. I see a parallel section from the black stripes to the white ones (which you've got in  your model ), followed by a cone, rather than the black spike in the drawing.

2. I think the leading edges of the wings should be curved, approximately the same as the trailing edges, rather than straight, as in the drawing.

The nose is wrong, too-believe me, I know. ;D  Scratching the Shark was a terrific lesson in learning to
actually look at a set of drawings. I should point out that all of McKie's own drawings don't completely
agree-there are subtle differences between this, the best known, and the cover art for "Spacecraft 2000-2100",
where a group of Sharks escorts a much larger ship.

Yeah, but apart from the fact that the back end's wrong, the front end's wrong, the left side is wrong and the right side is wrong, it's damn near perfect!

Ron: as ever, it's a matter of interpretation, but do you think maybe your wings have got a little too much anhedral? The ones in the main pic seem to only have a very slight amount, and the ones on the book cover seem to be dead flat. I think maybe the down turned wingtips create the impression of there being more anhedral than there really is.

Yep I agonized over it. :banghead: I originally planned on making the wings one piece, straight through, I think mine looks cool though  I got a plan

Thanks all y'all  Bobbo your lovely better get in line  I figure that if the artist didn't want me to put my own spin on the ships they would have done up a proper 3 view or som blueprints ;D

Once again: impressive.

I was worried about the turkey baster as it is likely made of polyethylene and will not accept paint (this is the stuff they can put CA glue into, after all).

But you've roughed it up so much and forced putty right down to the molecular level that I'm sure you have already bent this impossible material to your insane will, anyhow.

Kudos, my man.
