The F-16XL wings look great on the F-106. The nose has a Vigilante vibe to it as well - maybe because of the intakes. It looks great and the backstory is good.

Thanks. I hope the 1/48 scale turns out as good, simply because I'm stuck with that POS Revell/Monogram calls an F-106.  If only Hasegawa, Tamiya, or any other company would just replace that antique with something state of the art.

Frank: I think they look good too (plus it felt fun scrapping an F-16 kit).

Delightful, and the double arrow wing if you said so or double angle is superb.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Great idea and well done.

Love the "six"- I think it was arguably the best pure interceptor even flown, yes "better" than the Lightning. I know that may cause panic and heresay to some on this forum!

The Six was designed from the get-go to be an interceptor.  Unlike a testbed aircraft that was rushed into production because the TSR.2 program was terminated if you're referring to the Lightning I'm thinking of.

:tank: *armored against the potential flames headed his way*

And this one adds a better dogfighting capability that Six didn't really have, even when they started mounting a gunpod in the aft weapons bay.

Well, I've met him, and he's not really my type, I think of him more like the brother I should have had. But the model is simply outstanding !!

Oh, Kit...the F-106 does look a lot better with longer wings :D

OUTSTANDING!  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
